Jackson’s novel, The Vortex Entrance, is the first of a six-book series being published by Inknbeans Press. At Pipitone Group we love Halloween! We had another great Halloween party this year. We took a break from our integrated marketing efforts to celebrate with lots of fun, food, costumes and contests. This year we hosted a cast of interesting characters—from famous TV personalities to historical figures, from Augustus to Don Draper to the Devil.
This past Saturday, October 11th, instead of sleeping in, we were up and ready to walk. For the fourth year in a row, Pipitone Group participated in the Pittsburgh Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The three-mile walk started at Heinz Field and toured much of the North Shore.
This year, we had 28 actual and virtual walkers and raised $1,590 for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Greater Pennsylvania Chapter. This success was only possible thanks to Pipitone Group employees, friends, family and clients. The Pittsburgh walk had 2,895 walkers total and raised more than $351,000.

Pipitone Group is pleased to announce that it won four Golden Triangle Awards from IABC Pittsburgh. We won two Awards of Excellence for re-energizing the Autosoft brand and for the Accu-Tab® Test Kit Direct Mail program. Additionally, we took home two Awards of Honor for our work on Presbyterian Senior Care’s Experience Campaign and for our work with the Highmark Foundation’s No Time to Weight: Childhood Obesity Prevention event. We were presented the awards on Wednesday, September 24th at the Golden Triangle Awards Ceremony held at the Sheraton Station Square.
The annual IABC/Pittsburgh Golden Triangle Awards recognizes excellence in business communication skills, management and creative across a wide range of disciplines. Entries consist of a work plan explaining the rationale, intended audience, goals and objectives and planning steps for the campaign or project; and a work sample showcasing creative aspects and execution. Entries are judged by a panel of judges from other IABC chapters, using a seven-point system for each question on the scorecard.
